چکیده

Brassinosteroid emerges as an essential phytohormone that helps the plant to maintain growth and development. It also plants grow well under adverse conditions along with normal conditions. In this review article, we have discussed functional role of brassinosteroid (BRS) in salinity stress Salinity is one most devastating abiotic stresses which adversely affect by disturbing their metabolic pathway. This article comprises occurrence, structure signalling pathway brassinosteroid. Application improves status enhancing antioxidant enzyme activity plants. Moreover, reported different parameters enhanced application salinity. BRSs through regulation expression various genes whose products are involved biochemical physiological processes. based on aspects much detail required understand proper mechanism BRS, such i) BRS signaling pathways providing tolerance plants, ii) changes due presence or absence conditions, iii) transcriptional factor, iv) ion homeostasis, v) reduction oxidative via mechanisms stress. However, a lot knowledge alleviating needs future research work its derivatives alleviation salt

Evaluating physiological responses of plants to salinity stress

BACKGROUND Because soil salinity is a major abiotic constraint affecting crop yield, much research has been conducted to develop plants with improved salinity tolerance. Salinity stress impacts many aspects of a plant's physiology, making it difficult to study in toto Instead, it is more tractable to dissect the plant's response into traits that are hypothesized to be involved in the overall to...

Evaluation of Responses of Iranian Melon Cultivars to Salinity Stress

To study the response of Iranian melon cultivars to salinity stress a factorial experiment based on RCBD with 3 replications was conducted. Four salinity treatments (0, 6.6, 8 and 12 dS/m NaCl( and 16 muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.) cultivars namely ‘Dargazi’, ‘Khatooni’, Abbas shori’, ‘Chah paliz’, ‘Zard Ivanaki’, ‘Gorgab’, ‘Gongi’, Saderati’, ‘Dastgerd’, ‘Sabz Isfahan’, ‘Jalali’, Ghasri Mashha...

The Role of Ethylene in Plants Under Salinity Stress

Although the roles of ethylene in plant response to salinity and other stresses have been extensively studied, there are still some obscure points left to be clarified. Generally, in Arabidopsis and many other terrestrial plants, ethylene signaling is indispensable for plant rapid response and tolerance to salinity stress. However, a few studies showed that functional knock-out of some ACSs inc...

Physiological and Morphological Responses of White Clover (Trifolium repens) and Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) Plants to Salinity Stress

Trifolium spp. are native plants in Iran exhibiting good ground cover po-tential. Salinity is a major environmental stress and today, 20% of the world cultivated areas and nearly half of all irrigated lands are affected by salinity. The main aim of this research was to study morphological and physiological adaptations of these native species under different salinity levels for urban landscape u...
